Transaction records are kept for 5 years in line with South African tax legislation. You may request deletion of your account data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.

We implement industry-standard security measures including 256-bit SSL encryption for all data in transit, secure Supabase cloud infrastructure, and role-based access controls. Device data is wiped to DoD 5220.22-M standard after purchase. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our platform is not intended for persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

WeBuyElectronics ("WeBuyElectronics", "we", "us") operates an online marketplace at webuy-electronics.co.za enabling users to buy, sell, and bid on pre-owned electronic devices. We act as a marketplace facilitator and, where applicable, as a direct buyer of used devices. These Terms govern your use of the platform and any transactions completed through it.
You must be 18 years or older and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under South African law to use this platform. By registering an account you confirm that you meet these requirements. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate accounts at our discretion.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension, legal action, and reporting to relevant authorities.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WeBuyElectronics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the value of the transaction giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any matter that cannot be excluded by law in South Africa.
All content on the platform, including logos, design, text, and software, is the property of WeBuyElectronics or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute shall first be submitted to mediation in good faith. If unresolved after 30 days, disputes shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA) rules. The seat of arbitration shall be Johannesburg, Gauteng. Nothing prevents either party seeking urgent interdictory relief from a competent court.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights afforded to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. If any provision conflicts with the CPA, the CPA shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
We may amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated with 14 days' notice. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
